One or two Visiting Research Associate positions are immediately available in the Laboratory of Pain and Ion Channels of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM), Indianapolis, Indiana.A standard compensation (Salary + benefit) for Visiting Research Associate at IUSM will be applied.Candidates with experiences of electrophysiology (patch clamp) or pain research (such as behavior, immunohistochemistry) are suitable for these positions.Candidates, current students or not, are expected to study for two years or more.

The lab studies diverse neuropathic pain conditions including diabetes, spinal cord injury, and chemotherapy.The focus of the research is> Research approaches include electrophysiology,

mouse genetics, behavior, pharmacology, and regular molecular and protein techniques.
